News Asia 360

Putri Ariani, a talented vocalist from Indonesia with visual impairment, had a remarkable audition on America’s Got Talent that made the show’s judges recognize her tremendous talent. Consequently, Simon Cowell presented her with the ‘Golden Buzzer’ as an accolade for her performance.

Her incredible audition has gone viral, receiving more than 7.8 million views on YouTube after it was uploaded 24 hours ago by America’s Got Talent.

During her audition, Putri told the panel of judges – Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara – that her ambition is to be an iconic diva in the music industry like Whitney Houston and achieve a Grammy Award.

After graduating high school, she is determined to attend The Julliard School in New York to pursue her studies further.

Putri blew everyone away in her audition with a passionate performance. She played the piano and sang an original piece composed by her titled ‘Loneliness’, sending shivers down everyone’s spine.

The audience and the judges were astonished when they heard the singing of the teenage girl. After her audition, Simon Cowell excitedly requested her to sing an encore. Her soaring voice filled the room and left everyone mesmerized.

Putri chose to end her performance with a tribute to Simon, singing Elton John’s Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word. This was the same piece she had practised for her audition earlier.

The silence was deafening as Putri took the stage. But after her performance, the room was filled with enthusiastic cheers and an impressive standing ovation from both the audience and judges alike.

When questioned by Terry Crews why he sounded the ‘Golden Buzzer’, Simon explained that it was because she is extraordinary.

If you’re the show’s enthusiast, then you’re familiar with the ‘Golden Buzzer’. This ensures that Putri has a place in upcoming America’s Got Talent live shows. As reported by NBC, the judges and presenter have the luxury of pressing the ‘Golden Buzzer’ only once throughout all of the auditions.
