Exchange 106, in partnership with Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad and MERCY Malaysia, has launched a new campaign called Wishing Tree @ Exchange 106. This meaningful initiative is aimed at connecting corporate Malaysia with a humanitarian impact.
The campaign introduces a symbolic Wishing Tree installation, inviting donors to fulfil real-life “wishes” representing urgent needs from underserved communities. Housed at Malaysia’s tallest skyscraper, the project transforms the tower into a visual symbol of hope and shared responsibility.
The initiative also features a Fundraising Bazaar happening at Menara AFFIN, TRX, from 23 to 26 June 2025. Curated local merchants will contribute part of their proceeds to MERCY Malaysia’s Disaster Relief Fund, turning everyday shopping into meaningful action.
Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, President & Group Chief Executive Officer of AFFIN Group, said the collaboration reflects AFFIN’s commitment to social responsibility. “Whatever we touch, we want to leave it in a better state than when we found it. This campaign is aligned with our Axelerate 2028 vision to embed sustainability and impact at every level of our organisation.”
Dato’ Dr Ahmad Faizal Mohd Perdaus, President of MERCY Malaysia, highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships. “Every ringgit raised goes directly to emergency response. This kind of collaboration shows how corporate leadership and community values can come together to drive timely impact.”
Echoing this, Patrick Honan, Chief Operating Officer of Exchange 106, added that the campaign reflects the tower’s larger mission. “We believe Exchange 106 should stand for more than commerce. Hosting the Wishing Tree is part of our commitment to social contribution through ESG-focused action.”
Among the participating vendors at the upcoming bazaar are Sometime by Asian Designers, Watsons Malaysia, Chef Kecik, Tile Concept, Micro Garden, i-Scent, Ho Ho Musang King, Ambon Boenda, and several others. The event is expected to engage over 13,000 professionals across the TRX financial district and invites the public to shop for a cause.
The Wishing Tree @ Exchange 106 campaign is governed by AFFIN HWANG’s ESG framework and aligned with Bank Negara Malaysia’s Climate Change & Principle-Based Taxonomy.
