His Royal Highness Al Aminul Karim Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, Sultan of the State of Kedah Darul Aman, together with Her Royal Highness Sultanah Maliha Binti Almarhum Tengku Ariff, Sultanah of Kedah Darul Aman, graciously attended the Yasin Recital and Doa Selamat Ceremony held in conjunction with the 83rd Official Birthday Celebration of His Royal Highness at Masjid Zahir, Alor Setar.
The ceremony commenced with congregational Maghrib prayers, followed by the recital of Surah Yasin and Doa Selamat led by Masjid Zahir’s Grand Imam, Sheikh Mohd Naim Ahmad, and concluded with congregational Isyak prayers. Also present were the Honourable Dato’ Seri Haji Muhammad Sanusi Md. Nor, Chief Minister of Kedah, and his spouse; the Honourable Dato’ Seri Hj. Norizan bin Khazali, State Secretary; Sohibus Samahah Dato’ Paduka (Dr.) Sheikh Fadzil bin Haji Awang, Mufti of Kedah; Members of the State Executive Council, Members of the State Legislative Assembly, and other distinguished guests.
Representing Permodalan Kedah Berhad (PKB), Chief Executive Officer Mr. Azad Bin Jasmi was also in attendance to honour the presence of Their Royal Highnesses. This gesture reflects PKB’s steadfast commitment to supporting and participating in the State’s significant official ceremonies, strengthening ties between the institution and the community.
To commemorate this auspicious occasion, PKB respectfully presented a 13-kilogram Royal Cake inspired by the paddy blossom — a proud emblem of Kedah’s identity as Malaysia’s “Rice Bowl.” Adorned in regal hues of gold and green, the cake symbolises prosperity, enduring tradition, and the sovereignty of the State under the benevolent reign of His Royal Highness.
With utmost reverence, PKB offers its heartfelt prayers that His Royal Highness will continue to be blessed with divine grace, enduring health, and the wisdom to guide and protect the people with justice and compassion.
