From 2019-2020, the hit tvN show Crash Landing on You had viewers captivated as the leading cast members, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, developed an unlikely romance. Son Ye Jin plays Yoon Se Ri, a successful and affluent businesswoman, who has an unexpected encounter with North Korean army captain Ri Jeong Hyeok, portrayed by Hyun Bin, after her paraglider crash-lands into the DPRK. The show, Crash Landing on You, is an engrossing tale of cultural differences and love between the two characters.
Despite the animosity between their nations, they fall head over heels for each other and their passion knows no bounds.

Tourists love to visit this quaint little village just to experience it for themselves. In one of the scenes, unaware of it, Ri Jeong Hyeok’s piano playing ultimately ended up saving Yoon Se Ri – the sweet melodies reaching her ears in her time of need.
The lake is renowned for its wooden landing dock, which overlooks breathtaking turquoise-blue waters and has the majestic Alps providing a picturesque backdrop.

Iseltwald is a small town with only 400 inhabitants, but due to the popularity of the Crash Landing on You drama, there has been an increase in visitors to Lake Brienz. Last year, local Swiss media reported that Iseltwald was visited by approximately 400,000 people.
Unfortunately, the increased number of tourists has led to a lot of problems for the village inhabitants. These include amplified noise, sloppily-disposed garbage and extreme traffic congestion, all of which have caused frustration and discomfort.
To combat overcrowding, Iseltwald implemented a booking system for the car park. That way, only buses with an advanced reservation were able to get in. To make sure everyone follows the rules, a ticket gate has been installed at the pier of the lake. Tourists who visit must pay an entrance fee of 5 Swiss francs which is about $5.59.
Crash Landing on You has made a global impact by becoming the highest-rated tvN K-drama, with an incredible viewer rating of 21.7% (as reported by Nielson Korea). It has set a new benchmark for future K-dramas.
