A 51-year-old man lost his life after being physically attacked by several members of the public, following allegations that he had exposed himself in the parking area of a supermarket located in Jasin, Melaka.
According to police reports, the man attempted to escape the scene and even jumped into a nearby river during his flight. He was eventually apprehended roughly 200 meters away, where he was subjected to a second round of violence.
Authorities later discovered his body near a kindergarten, bearing significant injuries consistent with a severe assault. The victim was known to have a history of previous offenses involving indecent behavior.
The internet erupted upon reading this news.
“Emotional beating. I’m sorry to say I dont pity the deceased. He isn’t the victim. He was exposing himself, public and did I read near kindergarten? So the people did a step too far by beating him to death but you get as good as you give. I dont feel we lost as a society”, said a user.
“I mean. He is asking for it”, said another.
In connection with the incident, law enforcement has detained seven individuals—among them a Pakistani national—who are currently being held on suspicion of murder. — BFM
