Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS), part of The University of Manchester, has partnered with Lean In Malaysia as a supporting sponsor of the Lean In Career Programme (LICP) 8.0, Malaysia’s leading women’s leadership accelerator. The collaboration, marking AMBS’s 60-year legacy, reflects its ongoing commitment to building inclusive and future-ready leadership pipelines.
LICP 8.0 equips women with practical tools, mentorship, and networks to advance their careers. Through coaching and guidance from senior mentors, participants gain the skills and confidence to lead effectively in today’s dynamic business landscape. Delivering the keynote address, Joanne Rodrigues, Group Chief Financial Officer of Affin Bank, AMBS alumna, and one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Asia 2025, said, “We are proud to host LICP 8.0 together with AMBS.
This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to empowering women leaders and entrepreneurs who are driving meaningful change in their fields.” The programme recognised three standout participants: Ts. Norhaizam Mustaffa, Assistant Vice President of Technology at NanoMalaysia Berhad, won Most Innovative Speaker for her AI-based career chatbot concept; Saedah Zakirah Binti Zul Azhar received Most Outstanding Speaker; and Natasha Joibi, Strategic Initiatives Manager at WWF-Malaysia, earned Most Outspoken Speaker. Lim Bee Ing, Regional Director for The University of Manchester Southeast Asia, said, “Our collaboration with Lean In Malaysia continues our mission to empower women to make an impact locally and globally through education, mentorship, and leadership.”
AMBS will continue its 60th-anniversary initiatives with a Digital Economy Masterclass on 30 October 2025, led by Professor Duncan Shaw, reinforcing its role as a global thought leader in shaping the future of leadership.
