Each year on October 20th, World Osteoporosis Day recalls the value of bone health. Osteoporosis, or the “silent bone disease,” thins bones slowly and makes them more susceptible to breakage. Since it does so without overt early signs, most people find out about the condition only after a fracture has been sustained. There are however tell-tale signs our body provides—particularly in our hands, legs, and teeth—that point towards hidden bone weakness.
