The High Commissioner-Designate of Malaysia HE Datuk Mohd Aini Atan witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Halal Insulin Industry between Permodalan Kedah Berhad (PKB) and BruNet Global Sdn Bhd.
The MoU was signed by Mr Mohd Azad Jasmi, Chief Executive Officer of PKB and Dr Muhammad Shukri Said, Director of BruNet Global at the office of Malaysian High Commissioner. The MoU intends to formalise collaboration between PKB from Malaysia and BruNet from Brunei on the development of Halal insulin industry in Brunei Darussalam.
HE Datuk Mohd Aini expressed the High Commission of Malaysia’s full support towards business-to-business collaboration between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam in Halal industry, in line with Malaysia’s position as a keen proponent of Halal diplomacy in the international stage.
HE Datuk Mohd Aini also expressed confidence that the collaboration between PKB and BruNet in Halal industry would be of tremendous benefits in terms of economic gains for both Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam over the years to come. It would also effectively stimulate the economy and job opportunities for the local people.
