Ducati has revealed initial details of its brand-new DesertX adventure bike, which gets the same 890cc V2 IVT (Intake Variable Timing) engine as the new 2026 Monster. This is something that many people were expecting after spy shots last month revealed such a project was in the works.
The new DesertX will land in European dealerships from May 2026, before distribution expands to the North American market in June. Japan and Australia will then follow in August 2026. The 890cc V-Twin engine that’s set to be housed by the new DesertX is also found in the Multistrada V2 and Multistrada V2 S models. Maximum power of the new DesertX will be 110hp (108.4bhp) at 9,000rpm and 67.8 Ib-ft of torque at 7,000rpm.
