China Eastern Airlines is redefining long-haul travel with the launch of the world’s longest non-stop commercial flight, linking Shanghai with Buenos Aires. The new route is also expected to boost connectivity between Asia and South America. Zhang Siran has the story.
ZHANG SIRAN, CGTN Reporter “A new air route linking Shanghai to Buenos Aires is now the world’s longest direct route. China Eastern Airlines will redraw the map for travels between Asia and South America with a route spanning over 20-thousand kilometers and, for the first time, connecting two cities on opposite ends of the globe.”
