Dec. 8 (UPI) — Two men in Brazil stole 13 works of art from a museum in Sao Paulo from Brazil’s second-largest library, including art by famed French painter Henri Matisse.
On Sunday, thieves made off with eight engravings by Matisse and at least five by Brazilian painter Candido Portinari after walking in the entrance of Sao Paulo’s Biblioteca Mario de Andrade around 10 a.m. local time, the BBC and The New York Times reported.
