Some people prefer to keep their digital life simple. In Asia, we rely on WhatsApp for our daily communication, especially texting. Today, we are into WhatsApp calls too. It’s so convenient, we’re ditching the normal telco-based calls completely.
In 2022, WhatsApp introduced several cool features to make the user experience way better. First, the muting part. Do take note that to mute people is as easy as long-pressing a participant on the screen and right away hit the mute button after that. Now, we can quietly send a text to any participant concurrently when the group call is presently active in the background. This new feature is great especially when we want to inform one specific participant to mute his or her microphone or share confidential information during the call.

You may have noticed the Communities tab too. It was added recently to the new user interface. Not just that, now we can enjoy video calls with a total participant of 32 people instead of just 8 before. This is definitely useful for those who have large family members or perhaps a medium-sized organisation.
WhatsApp also introduced us to call links. This is an extremely powerful feature to ease us to invite people to attend the calls set. Planning video calls or even audio calls is never this easy, especially for all WhatsApp super users across the globe.
