The Truly Loving Company (TLC) Malaysia, Malaysia’s leading purpose-driven social enterprise, continues to reaffirm its commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of the less fortunate. At a high-tea event and cheque presentation ceremony held at One World Hotel on 7 May 2025, TLC donated RM100,000 to ten selected charities, marking another milestone in TLC’s unwavering mission to inspire care for the community and the environment.

This year’s high-tea event was a celebration of humanity and the spirit of giving as TLC welcomed their new beneficiaries for the year, who share the same dedication to uplifting lives.  Also on display was a special showcase of TLC’s past projects, a powerful reminder of how collective action can drive meaningful change, while Julia Chong, CEO of The Truly Loving Company, took center stage, sharing inspiring insights into the company’s mission and aspirations, reinforcing TLC’s vision of embedding kindness into the fabric of everyday life.

Members of the TLC beneficiary list for 2025 include Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation, which focuses on providing breast cancer awareness and survivor support. Also on its list of beneficiaries are Dignity & Services, which empowers individuals with learning disabilities by offering them employment and vocational training, and  Yayasan Sunbeams Home, which offers shelter and nurturing support to orphaned and neglected children, helping them build a brighter future.

TLC is also extending its support to the Society of the Blind in Malaysia, a national organisation committed to promoting equal rights and opportunities for visually impaired individuals, empowering them to become active and confident members of society.

In addition, Pusat Kreatif Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun (PKKTB), which offers creative arts programmes for underprivileged children aged 8 to 17, will receive funding for its Mari Belajar programme, run in collaboration with Jasmine Play School. The funds will support parent workshops, family day out, and creative language and literacy enrichment activities. These initiatives are designed to strengthen parental engagement, enhance early childhood learning and promote school readiness.

The event concluded with a warm and engaging high tea session, where guests exchanged heartfelt conversations and experiences. It served as a meaningful platform to strengthen the connection between businesses and charitable organisations, reaffirming a shared commitment to building a more compassionate community.

Since its founding in 2006, TLC has reimagined business operations in Malaysia as the country’s first social enterprise to integrate a corporate profit model with the development, manufacturing and marketing of high-quality household cleaning products. What sets it apart is its extraordinary commitment to channelling 100% of its dividends into charitable causes, ensuring that every ringgit earned contributes to transforming lives and protecting the environment. TLC’s commitment to sustainability is also reflected in its TLC Green Initiatives, which promote environmental responsibility alongside social impact. Through this innovative approach, the brand continues to prove that businesses can thrive while fostering meaningful and lasting change in society.

In the last year alone, TLC’s generosity supported multiple organisations which play essential roles in bringing care, dignity, and opportunities to those who need it most, such as the Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association Johor Bahru, HOSPIS Malaysia, the National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM), Rumah Aman, and SHELTER – Home for Children. Over the years, it has also actively participated in numerous community-focused initiatives, including the Menara Hap Seng Christmas Bazaar, the Hospis Malaysia charity bazaar at Stella Maris International School, and the Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara Cancer Support Group Event. These events serve as platforms to raise awareness, mobilise resources, and bring people together for a common cause.

TLC’s aspirations go far beyond providing support at events. The company envisions a future where generosity is not an afterthought but a core principle of every business. By leading the way, TLC hopes to inspire more businesses and individuals to embrace a mindset of care and giving. As Julia expressed, “As a social enterprise, TLC is dedicated to creating a sustainable giving model that empowers communities and safeguards our environment. We believe that by integrating compassion into our daily business practices, we can collectively shape a more inclusive and caring society.”

This remarkable initiative is a reminder that love in action can truly change the world. TLC’s dedication to uplifting communities and protecting the environment serves as a powerful beacon, proving that when businesses lead with purpose, they create ripples of hope that touch countless lives. By donating RM100,000 to charities championing vital causes, TLC is not only transforming individual lives but also setting a benchmark for corporate responsibility. Love, after all, is not just a sentiment—it is something we do.
