The Syria Tragedy

Syria has fallen. Under the leadership of Bashar Al-Assad, Syria was an integral part of the Axis of Resistance. A label given to the core countries that are strategically located to push back Israeli terror.

Before its tragic fall, Syria was a wall against Israel and a gateway for Iran to support freedom fighters in Palestine.

Why do Syrians celebrate the fall of Assad

In Syria and around the world, you’ll find Syrians celebrating and chanting that Syria is free. Their reasons are taken word for word from Western propaganda talking points. “He’s a dictator” “He’s a tyrant” “We’ve suffered under him” “You will go to jail if you criticise the government” “He killed Syrians with poisonous gas”

For the last part, despite what Western propaganda tells you, independent reports show that the war crime of using poisonous gas in warfare was done by a major branch of Al-Qaeda that’s fighting in Syria, the Nusra front.

As for criticising the government, Syria was under attack by the US in various ways for decades. Through NGO propaganda (which is a beloved tool of the US when toppling a government) and economic sanctions. These two attacks have made living conditions difficult for Syrians. Any person could see the obvious enemy, but most Syrians, unfortunately, point the finger to Assad.

Syrians celebrate their saviours

Syria fell with only 1 reported casualty. Analysts reported that the Syrian military pulled out and some reports on the ground show that the army fled into Iraq. Meanwhile, Assad has fled to Russia and instructed the opposition to facilitate a peaceful transition of power.

Assad’s response towards the invasion is unlike any dictator. He allowed what the Syrian people wanted and what could have been a bloodbath only resulted in 1 unconfirmed casualty.

The new government in Syria is led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). Don’t let the name fool you, this is the same Al-Qaeda with links to ISIS terror group. They’ve only rebranded as part of the Western propaganda.

Multiple reports, leaked documents, and the famous Clinton emails, show that HTS is supported, armed, and trained, by the US, Turkey, and Israel.

Yes, the same Israel that is killing thousands upon thousands of Palestinians.

Syrians danced and celebrated cut short by Israel bombings

Syrians under their new government HTS expressed friendship towards Israel. A video circulating Elon Musk’s X, shows a member of the HTS calling out to “friendly Israel” to come and invest in Syria.

Netanyahu hours before, published a video congratulating Syria’s liberation from Assad. And not even 24 hours later, Israel bombed the capital of Syria, Damascus, while the Israeli military pushed inwards and grabbed more Syrian land.

A general of the Israeli army declared that “Syria is the new battlefront.”

Syrians confused over the development

“Why is Israel doing this? Assad is gone!” says one post on X.

Syrians are now waking up to the sobering fact that the Assad government has kept Israel at bay while supporting freedom fighters engaged with Israel. Before Syria’s “liberation”, Israel was paying a high cost in its war with Hamas and Hezbollah.

Multiple businesses have shut down and a major Israeli port has gone bankrupt. Now, Israel is seizing the opportunity and it looks like they will recover soon. Syria has many resources, one of them being an abundance of oil. Oil reserves that are currently “protected” by the US military.

Any support from Iran going through Syria has now been cut off and the freedom fighters in Palestine are now alone in their resistance.

Will HTS intervene?

This group which is still in the terror list of the United Nations, does not have any history of attacking Israel or any US allies. Analyst’s speculation and multiple other sources argue that HTS/Al-Qaeda/ISIS was and always will be a tool created by the US to destabilise the Middle East.

However, after the bombings in Syria, HTS has put out a video claiming that they will now fight towards Jerusalem. Given its history, many are doubtful.

Conclusion

Syria will follow the way of Iraq and Libya. Its people celebrate the toppling of their leader only to regret years later. Iraq and Libya’s “liberation” has resulted in a devastated economy which they have yet to recover from. Its lands are now a warzone and its resources continue to be robbed by the US and its allies.

But in the case of Syria, it looks like they won’t need to wait a few years as everything is unfolding very quickly.
