At first, I built 300th to be a user-generated content platform. After close to 3 years, the experiment failed. I just couldn’t break the people’s habits. There are two of them. One, many don’t like to write. They prefer to do videos. And two, for those who write, they prefer to park those articles on established platforms. They are sceptical of the new and emerging ones. Well, I don’t blame them.
Despite the failure, I still believe in the power of meaningful content. I still believe in human-led curation and creation too. The failure somehow didn’t upset me at all. Each morning, right after I wake up, the voice in me keeps telling me to keep going on. Use that creative brain God has given me to find a strong business model, come up with a strong platform with a meaningful value proposition and a monetisation model that makes sense. How difficult is that it be?
