The Burden of Work And Why We All Carry It Differently

Not all work feels the same.
Not all weight is distributed equally.
And the truth is the burden of work changes depending on where you’re standing.

As an employer, I carry invisible weight.
The kind that doesn’t show up on spreadsheets.
It’s not just about targets or KPIs , it’s about people.
Real lives. Real families.
There are nights I lie awake wondering if I’ve done enough, or if I’m leading well.
Sometimes, leadership feels like carrying everyone’s hopes in your own tired hands.

As an employee, the weight shows up differently.
It’s in the pressure to deliver, to prove your worth, to stay in the good books.
It’s the exhaustion after doing your best and still feeling like it’s not enough.
Sometimes, it’s picking up where others left off — out of duty, or fear, or guilt.
But here’s the truth: it’s not okay to carry someone else’s workload, even if you feel obliged to.
Because your value doesn’t come from breaking yourself to cover for others.

And as a solopreneur

Well, the burden is all yours.
The dreams. The doubts. The deadlines.
No team to back you, no manager to guide you,

Just you, and whatever you can carry that day.

It’s liberating, yes. But also, deeply lonely at times.
There’s pride in doing it your way.

But also, fear ; because if you fall, who will catch you?

I’ve worn all three hats.
And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

Everyone is carrying something.
You can’t always see it.
But it’s there : in their shoulders, their silence, their sighs.

So maybe what we all need more than answers or systems is kindness.
To pause. To ask.
To listen without fixing.
And to remind ourselves and each other: you’re not weak for feeling tired.

You’re human.

We weren’t made to carry everything alone.

——–

If you’re carrying the weight of building something from scratch , hey, I see you!

Whether you’re leading a team, growing quietly behind a laptop, or figuring things out day by day, your effort matters.

That’s why I built MyGalore : not just as a platform for products, but as a space for people like us.
Entrepreneurs. Dreamers. Doers.

You don’t have to carry it all alone.

Let’s keep building — with heart.
