The Art Of Letting Go

It’s okay to slow down, it’s okay to have a bad day, it’s okay to let go of things and it’s okay to ask for help when you need it. You don’t need to deal with every situation; some things will be better if you do nothing. And I would suggest making a habit of reading good books as it can change the way  you think and act in certain situations. My favourite book is Setback Is Setup For A Comeback by Willie Jolley. It’s a present from my dad. It’s super motivational, really.

The biggest challenge I’ve overcome in my personal life is to convince myself that it’s okay to let things be in the way it should be. I’ve always been a person who thinks everything is under control when it comes to my life, I can handle anything that comes my way and I can deal with everything by myself and get disappointed if something goes out of my hand. This might sound like a usual thing but I would say this is the biggest challenge for me because battling with oneself is harder than fighting with someone. It’s more like there’s always an internal blame game when things don’t go right and asking help from people doesn’t sound right. I’m more focused on the ideal life I want than appreciating my present moment which leads to exhaustion, stress and burn out.

Some  of the daily routines that give me joy are sky watching, a solitude time in nature (I would relate this to the terms known as ‘glimmers’ or art of noticing). It is all about being present in the moment, observing and finding joy in every little thing that exists around us such as rain drops, blooming flowers, birds, colourful skies and more. Nature gives us a sense of calmness, healing energy and is eye-pleasing.

I find joy in observing, and capturing things around me. It gives me a sense of understanding about the nature of things around us, what’s more interesting is they make me more mindful. Enjoying the beauty or having your ‘me time’ in nature is a great way to make life worth living. It makes me mindful of the blessings that exist around me.

Also, by spending time in nature, I learn to understand myself more as I get some time to analyse things I never really thought of. Other than that, listening to music and enjoying the aesthetic of the lines that sounds poetic is also a daily routine that gives me joy. Music keeps my mind calm (this is my way of finding peace in chaos) and it’s amazing how we could relate some lines with the experiences we have in our life. And it’s even more amazing to see that people could convey a message in a much nicer way.

Spending time with loved ones is something I make sure I will have with my parents and siblings. Having some time with them for lunch, dinner, good conversation with them or simply doing nothing simply makes me happy. What’s life without love from our loved ones? I want to make every moment count and life worth living and these are the ways I chose.

Life is so unpredictable but it’s definitely manageable and enjoyable. I’ve learned to look at the bright side of life  and be mindful of everything that I own. but even in the days I couldn’t I just let myself experience it. I’m looking forward to what life holds for me, and experience it the way it is.

Everyone carries a story within them, a unique narrative shaped by their experiences and life choices. Often, the most unexpected people possess the most extraordinary tales. These stories have the power to inspire, to challenge perspectives, and to connect us more deeply to the human experience. So, recommend us that person. We are keen to share their stories with open hearts and inspire others too at the same time.
