Taxi Driver 2 Ratings Soar To New All-Time High After Half Of The Season Running

Soompi reported the first half of SBS’s drama, Taxi Driver 2, achieved its highest ratings yet with another 8 more episodes to go. Soompi is a part of Viki Inc. and is known for being the largest English media outlet delivering full coverage of Korean pop culture around the world.

Following its incredible success in 2021, the popular webtoon-inspired drama Taxi Driver is back with a new season. It tells the story of a special taxi service that delivers retribution for victims who can’t get justice from the legal system. Lee Jae Hoon’s character, Kim Do Gi, has taken on a whole new look as a shaman with a unique style.

On the 18th of March, the popular drama show achieved an all-time high rating as viewers eagerly anticipated the next half of its season. Nielsen Korea highlighted that the eighth instalment of Taxi Driver 2 saw an average nationwide viewership rating of 16.0 per cent.

Taxi Driver 2 was the most popular show of the entire week among the 20 to 49 age group. This particular demographic showed an average rating of 6.5 per cent for that night, showcasing its immense popularity.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, Taxi Driver is a drama about a mysterious taxi service that delivers vengeance on behalf of victims who are unable to get justice through the law. After a successful run in 2021, the hit drama has now returned for a second season.
