Success Is When Hard Work Meets Opportunity

To make a new business progresses at full speed, be it in revenue, profit, market share and brand reputation, usually, it’ll take at least 20 years. Anything below that is considered a bonus. No matter how genius the game plan is, you can’t beat nature and the way things naturally progress. You can try to rush it but again, it might cost you. In the entrepreneurship or business game, there’s nothing more you can do about it. You can’t control time. Period.

The other factor that is also beyond your control is opportunity. No matter how hard you work, no matter how less you sleep, if there is no opportunity coming your way, you won’t see things moving either. To grow and be successful, you need opportunity too.

Now you know. Time and opportunity are two things that are truly beyond your control. Instead of seeing them as the enemy to your effort and hard work, take advantage of them instead. While the progress is moving slowly and the opportunities aren’t coming your way just yet, use this very moment to understand the learning curve better, work harder to improve the product and service quality, work harder to improve the user experience, close as many gaps as possible, minimise mistakes and run as many A/B Testing as possible while there is still time. Once all these are done, you will notice that as you go along, everything becomes better. The progress becomes faster. The leads are generated quicker. The conversions are better. And the retention is improving too.

Then you will notice one more thing. Time and opportunity suddenly become your ally. This is the very stage where you will see the pace of your progress going through the roof. This is the very stage where you will see success is near.

Ah, yes, that moment when you finally get home and can just relax. Changing into PJs and doing whatever you...
