A teenage boy from China, who has intellectual disabilities, has gained widespread admiration on social media in China for rescuing a 3-year-old girl who had wandered away from her family.

A 17-year-old boy named Huang Yibo found a three-year-old girl on the side of the road in Xian, the capital city of China’s Shaanxi province on April 7. He carried the little girl on his back and took her to a nearby police station without revealing his name to the police.

Huang is a student at a special school in the area. His act of kindness has made him a hero on Chinese social media.

After news of Huang’s act of kindness spread, a video of him carrying the girl and taking her to the police went viral on social media. This led to more people learning about Huang and his story.
