When it comes to cultural clashes between Europeans and Americans, few subjects stir as much curiosity — and sometimes discomfort — as nudity. In the United States, nudity is heavily sexualized and often confined to private spaces. Public toplessness, let alone full nudity, is still considered taboo outside of designated areas. But in much of Europe, particularly in Spain and France, nudity is viewed through a very different cultural lens — one that prioritizes naturalism, body acceptance, and leisure over modesty.
