Osaka, the vibrant culinary capital of Japan, is abuzz with preparations for the World Expo 2025. Scheduled to run from April to October according to Breaking Travel News, this prestigious event is expected to draw millions of visitors to Kansai, showcasing groundbreaking ideas for a sustainable future while highlighting Osaka’s unique charm and culture.

The World Expo, one of the oldest and largest global events dating back to 1851, is held every five years. The Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 will focus on the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” emphasizing co-creation to address social challenges, emerging sciences, and cutting-edge technologies. Japanese organizations have rallied to promote this historic occasion, planning guided tours and lectures to explore the Expo’s transformative potential.

Among the key players is OMO7 Osaka, an urban tourism hotel by Hoshino Resorts, which has been named a Partner Sponsor. Located in Naniwa Ward near Shin-Imamiya Station, the hotel is uniquely positioned to serve as a hub for domestic and international visitors. Known for its award-winning environmentally conscious architecture, including the innovative “Miya-green” garden and Japan’s first membrane-covered exterior, OMO7 Osaka exemplifies sustainability in urban design.

The hotel also offers immersive experiences through its Go-KINJO service, a hallmark of Hoshino Resorts’ OMO brand. Guests are guided by OMO Rangers—staff who are experts on local neighborhoods—to uncover Osaka’s hidden gems. These tours include deep dives into historic districts like Shinsekai, visits to the bustling Kizu Wholesale Market to learn about Kansai’s dashi culture, and the “Binge on Kushikatsu” tour to savor Osaka’s iconic skewered delicacies.

During the Expo, OMO7 Osaka plans to enhance its offerings with Expo-themed experiences, inviting enthusiasts to share insights on lesser-known aspects of the event. The hotel’s General Manager, Shota Kabuki, expressed his hope that the Expo would revitalize Osaka, driving sustainable development and boosting its global appeal.

With the World Expo 2025 just around the corner, Osaka is poised to captivate the world, blending innovation, tradition, and its signature hospitality. Visitors can look forward to an event that not only shapes the future but also celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of one of Japan’s most dynamic cities.
