OMNO Launches Nourish & Protect: The Eco-Friendly Skincare Line Combating Harsh Tropical Weather

KUALA LUMPUR, 3 December 2024 – Singaporean personal care brand Omno is introducing its Nourish & Protect collection, an eco-friendly skincare line designed to address the unique challenges of Southeast Asia’s tropical climate. With the region’s relentless heat, humidity, and pollution, the Nourish & Protect line is a streamlined, three-step skincare routine designed to shield, hydrate, and restore skin in tropical conditions.

In both Malaysia and Singapore, the abundance of sunshine and warmth makes for a vibrant, lush environment, but daily exposure to high UV levels, combined with constant heat and humidity, can be harsh on the skin. The toll that these environmental factors take on the skin often results in visible damage, making the journey to healthy, radiant skin difficult for many.

With that in mind, this collection offers an accessible solution for Malaysians and Singaporeans facing daily skin concerns such as sun damage, dehydration, and irritation. Furthermore, Omno’s innovative products balance high efficacy with eco-conscious formulations, creating a reliable go-to for radiant, protected skin, with formulations that are safe for all skin types — including sensitive skin — bringing together simplicity, science, and sustainability in a routine that targets the unique skincare needs of Malaysians.

The first part of the routine involves Gaea Solar Defence, an ultralight, multifunctional SPF 50+ sunblock that provides essential broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection, alongside the calming scents of geranium, cedarwood, sage, and lavender. Ideal for safeguarding skin before sun exposure, Gaea Solar Defence can be applied under or over makeup as needed, with options for reapplication throughout the day.

This product uses advanced encapsulation technology for even spread, long-lasting protection, and ensuring the sun filter is not absorbed into the skin. In addition, it has micronised sunscreen particles for superior, uniform coverage; this not only enhances sun protection but also minimises irritation, making it safe for sensitive skin, and even for babies. Infused with soothing plant extracts and aloe vera, Gaea Solar Defence offers comprehensive care, defending skin against sun damage while nourishing it deeply, making it a perfect solution for the eco-conscious and those with sensitive skin.

After that, the Nourish & Protect Hydration Gel is an oil-free moisturiser that utilises hyaluronic acid to deliver long-lasting hydration, and soothes irritated skin and redness using aloe vera and chamomile extracts. The gel is especially great for skin that has been exposed to prolonged sun, or heavily dehydrated skin, but works well for daily hydration and skin refreshment in general.

Additionally, the Hydration Gel can be used both before and after sun exposure. If applied pre-sun, this ensures the skin is well-hydrated and protected from dryness under prolonged UV and heat exposure, but post-sun, it also works to soothe and replenish dehydrated skin, providing an instant cooling effect.

Lastly, the collection features the Solace Radiant Body Oil, a luxurious, preservative-free blend of body treatment oils designed to provide body radiance and nourishment with notes of bergamot, lavender, ginger, rosemary, and eucalyptus. Ideally, this is designed for use after applying the Hydration Gel to lock in moisture and enhance the skin’s natural glow. The blend not only gives the skin an organically sun-kissed look, but also has a rich combination of vitamins (A, C, & E) and essential fatty acids (omega 3, 6, and 9), benefiting the skin while addressing stretch marks and scars.

With self-care becoming more central in Malaysia’s lifestyle culture, the Omno Nourish & Protect line is launching at the perfect time, answering the call for simplicity in skincare without compromising on effectiveness. The collection is available both on Omno’s online platform and at Omno’s New Bahru store in Singapore, where visitors can experience personalised skincare consultations and try the products firsthand.
