After multiple acts of genocide, the worst in human history, it took another massacre to get Israelis to protest.
The final straw that broke the camel’s back? Scores of Palestinians were brutally killed while retrieving food aid.
What happened?
According to Al-Jazeera, hundreds of Palestinians in desperate need of food were waiting for aid trucks on Gaza City’s al-Rashid Street. Palestinians now are experiencing widespread famine.
Palestinians old and young approached the trucks receiving food aid, among them flour. Moments later, Israeli forces fired on the crowd, brutally killing more than 100 people. And 700 others are reportedly wounded.
Videos circulated online show the horrifying scenes during the massacre. And the aftermath, flour spilt across the land mixed with blood.
Such horrors are the stuff of fantasy. But it is all too real today, thanks to Israel.
The massacre has garnered condemnation around the globe
People around the globe expressed disgust against Israel. Interestingly, Israelis themselves have begun protesting.
The massacre happened on Thursday. And on that same evening, Israeli activists gathered in Tel Aviv to protest.
“We are here to protest. Again, this is not the first protest.” an Israeli protestor, Alon Lee Green claimed. Among the signs and chants, the core message is clear. They want a cease-fire now and the path to security is through peace.
Interestingly enough, Alon Lee Green also mentioned that they want to put a stop to the genocide and the occupation. Are Israelis more open to a two-state solution now?
Only time will tell.
