Musk Launches Starlink in Indonesia, Eyes Broader Investment

News Asia 360

Elon Musk traveled to Indonesia to officially launch SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet service in the island nation. This move is seen as a big boost for Indonesia, which has many remote areas with little or no internet access.

Starlink’s high-speed internet could be a game-changer for these regions, improving access to education and healthcare.

The inauguration ceremony took place at a community health center in Bali, highlighting the potential for Starlink to improve medical services in remote areas.

Indonesia’s government is hopeful that Starlink will not only bring better internet connectivity but also encourage other companies led by Musk, like Tesla, to invest in Indonesia. This partnership could be especially beneficial for Indonesia’s developing electric vehicle industry. Starlink internet services will also be tested in Nusantara, Indonesia’s new capital city currently under construction.
