Move Aside Elon, Bernard Arnault Of LVMH Is The New Richest Person In The World

According to Forbes, Bernard Arnault has managed to take the top spot from Elon Musk recently. The publication estimates that Arnault’s net worth is $180.2 billion, which is $17 billion more than Musk’s as of December 2022.

Arnault is one of the founders, Chairman and CEO of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, or LVMH. He’s been at the very top before, briefly. He was the richest person in the world back in 2019, 2020 and again in 2021.

Arnaut may not be holding the top spot for long as the battle is intense between him and Elon Musk, while Gautam Adani is fast approaching the top too.

A France-based LVMH is a global company made up of 75 separate brands mostly in retail focusing on cosmetics, fashion and drinks. has over 175,000 employees and 5,500 stores. Last year, LVMH announced €64.2 billion in revenue, a 20 per cent increase from the previous year. Based on the report from Statista, LVMH has a market value worth approximately €371 billion as of November 2022—well ahead of Mastercard and Nestle.
