The Worldwide Fund for Nature and Tumen Modot Khaalga NGOs have partnered to plant trees in Khovd aimag. Under the slogan “Green Gate Welcomes Us”they are on their way to plant ten thousand trees along a 2.8-mile paved road. Locals of the aimag have also joined in.
This honourable effort is in conjunction with Mongolia’s “One Billion Trees” national campaign. In hopes to aid efforts against climate change and making the surrounding environment more livable.
Experts from the Environmental Department of Mongolia and citizens of the Aimag are working hand in hand in to make sure the planted trees are well taken care of.
