Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between PKB and PPIM

Kuala Lumpur, 23 April 2025 – Permodalan Kedah Berhad (PKB) and the Malaysian Islamic Consumers Association (PPIM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an official ceremony that took place in an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and consensus a short while ago.

This ceremony marked the beginning of a strategic collaboration between two influential entities — one representing the corporate sector, and the other a consumer voice that actively fights for the rights of the people. This effort is a proactive step in building sustainable and holistic synergies towards strengthening the consumer ecosystem and the local economy.

Through this signing, both parties are committed to working together in various areas including; Entrepreneur and micro-enterprise development, education and consumer awareness, support for local products and brands and the implementation of high-impact initiatives that directly benefit the community

PPIM also stressed the importance of community support for local products, calling on consumers to play an active role in helping to generate national economic growth through the purchase of Malaysian-made goods. This is in line with PKB’s aspirations in lifting the economic potential of the people of Kedah and the entire country.

PKB and PPIM believe that this collaboration will not only expand the collaboration network, but also open a new chapter in the effort to champion the interests of consumers in a more comprehensive, inclusive and based on the principle of mutual benefit.

Hopefully this initiative will be a starting point for more strategic efforts that will continue to empower the community and the country’s economy. We at PKB are confident that through collaborations like this, the people’s development agenda can be driven more effectively and sustainably.
