“John Wick: Chapter 4” was yet another successful movie for Keanu Reeves at the box office. According to the studio predictions, the thriller movie grossed a whopping $73.5 million – a record-breaking result for the series about an assassin on a mission for revenge.
The movie generated a good response financially worldwide; it made $137.5 million globally, out of which $64 million came from international markets.
Since its debut in 2014, the “John Wick” movie franchise has consistently performed better at the box office with each successive edition. The first movie made $14 million on its opening weekend and subsequent instalments have continued to build upon this success.
The 2017 movie “John Wick: Chapter 2” grossed $30.4 million, and its third instalment “Parabellum” made a huge start with $56.8 million at the box office.
“Chapter 4” is the star-studded movie of the year, with some of the biggest names like Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne. Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård and Ian McShane also feature in it. Shamier Anderson and Hiroyuki Sanada bring a unique flavour to this incredible film, with Lance Reddick as the multitalented Continental Hotel Concierge “Charon” in his final role. On Friday, March 17, Reddick passed away unexpectedly from natural causes at the age of 60.
