A Jetstar Airways flight was diverted and made an emergency landing at the Chubu Centrair International Airport due to a bomb threat. According to the officials, the said flight bound for Fukuoka in southern Japan safely landed at 7.41 am or 2241 GMT on Friday.
A total of 136 passengers and 6 cabin crews were on board. Five sustained minor injuries while evacuation from the plane via the emergency slides took place, the Chubu airport police official said.
The airport’s runway was temporarily closed after the flight landed and resumed its operations approximately four hours later after safety was confirmed. No bombs, explosives or any suspicious objects were found.
