By 6:00 AM, she embarks on her journey to Haneda Airport, intent on catching the earliest flight available. Her airborne transit culminates in an arrival at Kitakyushu Airport around 9:30 AM, from where she proceeds to the Fukuoka campus via taxi or bus. This remarkable daily pilgrimage consumes over two hours each way and incurs a substantial daily expense exceeding 15,000 yen (US$105).
Intriguingly, Nakashima transforms her extensive travel time into productive study sessions, diligently tackling assignments and reviewing academic materials. She often finds solace in a quiet room overlooking the campus, where she immerses herself in her studies. Notably, her fellow students regard her simply as a peer, unswayed by her idol status.
