Grandma Qin and the Grenade Hammer: A Hilarious Case of Mistaken Identity

News Asia 360

Imagine using a hammer for 20 years, only to find out it’s actually a hand grenade! That’s exactly what happened to a spunky grandma named Qin in China.

This 90-year-old firecracker found a “funny-looking metal lump” while tending to her farm. Thinking it was just a handy hammer, she used it for everything from cracking nuts to picture hanging.

Well, the fun stopped when workers demolishing her house spotted the grenade and, let’s just say, politely informed the authorities.

The bomb squad arrived faster than you can say “holy exploding hammer!” Luckily, the grenade seemed to have a conscience (or maybe it was just a dud) because it never went off in all those years.

The internet, of course, had a field day with this story.

People joked that Grandma Qin must be one tough cookie to survive two decades of grenade-hammering. Some even said the grenade itself must have been begging the police to take it away from all those chores!

In the end, the police confiscated the grenade (probably a wise move) and reminded everyone that strange metal objects are best left to the professionals. Grandma Qin might not have had the safest hammer, but she sure has one heck of a story to tell!
