Google Launches The All-New Search Engine With AI Capabilities. The Access Is Now Open

News Asia 360

Google’s newest innovation, the AI-powered search tool SGE (Google Search Generative Experience), is being released in the US today. It promises to allow users to explore new ways of searching and discover more meaningful results. If you’d like to gain access to the waitlist, all you need to do is sign up and wait for a notification that it’s your turn.

The latest demonstration at Google I/O 2023 was Google SGE – a technology that combines conversational AI with traditional search capabilities. It was showcased at the event and is set to take the search experience to a whole new level.

Google’s ‘snapshot’ feature could be likened to having a piece of artificial intelligence (AI) injected into your regular searches. It’s meant to give you quick access to important information, along with the option to go deeper if necessary.

Furthermore, Google is making more of its Search Labs available to users, such as Code Tips and Add to Sheets (currently only available in the United States).

Code Tips is a powerful tool for coding which helps you write code quicker and smarter. It allows budding developers to ask questions regarding programming languages, tools and algorithms like C, C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Python and TypeScript as well as Docker, Git, and shells.

Add to Sheets is a brilliant tool that makes it easy for you to add your search results directly to any of the recent Google Sheets documents. All you need to do is click on the Sheets icon found next to every result and all your open documents will be listed in a pop-up. Just select one that you would like to attach the search result with.

To join the Search Labs waitlist, click on the beaker icon in your Chrome for desktop or Google search app on Android or iOS. Don’t miss out on this opportunity and sign up today! Unfortunately, the company has not revealed its timeframe for when or how broadly access will be granted, so you may have to be patient.
