Unfamiliar with Gauri Khan’s work as an interior designer? Have no fear, My Life in Design is here! Khan, the wife of Shah Rukh Khan for 32 years, has released her own coffee table book – an opportunity to discover more about her successful design journey.
Gauri Khan’s labour of love, Mannat, is now documented in an incredible 198-page book. It showcases never seen before photos of Mannat, the 27,000 square feet six-storey ocean-facing mansion located in Mumbai that was purchased by Shah Rukh Khan in 2001 and further customised by Gauri over the years.
On March 26, Gauri shared a lovely family photo on Instagram to celebrate the launch of her book.
The Khans family, comprising of Gauri, Shah Rukh and their children Suhana, Aryan and AbRam, all looked gorgeous in their coordinated black attires.

Gauri posted the picture on her Instagram account, along with a caption: “Family is what makes a home… Excited for the @penguinindia coffee table book… coming soon.” Gauri’s book My Life in Design narrates her voyage as a designer and elucidates the contemplation behind creating Mannat.
Shah Rukh Khan has contributed a heartfelt foreword to the book, expressing his thoughts and emotions: “I am excited to see what she has included in her book, and if by chance she has designed some space better than what she has done for me, I will force her to give me a discounted makeover for my space.”
