I’m transforming all articles on Pelantar into a 2 to 3-minute read—or less. Despite being shorter in length, the context remains insightful and compact. There is less priority on the article’s length now. It’s no longer important. The new priority here is to make each article meaningful. The article still answers one marketing question at a time. And, the answer is still solid and sharp. It just uses fewer words; that’s all.
FYI, this fully-gated marketing library was built in November 2023. It took me a year to refine its foundation, making the experience better and friendlier to the subscribers. I thought of getting more aggressive to acquire new subscribers in 2024 but put that idea on hold for the moment. Making things right must come first. I need to make people see Pelantar as a credible marketing source that adds real value to their life, be it personally or professionally. Staying relevant is a must. This is the important part I was working on. The rest can wait. This explains why there are only less than 22 subscribers now. Each month, they parted with their hard-earned $3 to gain knowledge on marketing through premium content. It’s okay—still a good progress although a little bit slower than I anticipated. It’s fair as I didn’t focus on it that much anyway. In 2025, my attention will be on acquiring subscribers.
It’s not easy to earn passive income from the Internet in this part of the world, especially when the platform is written-based and a fully gated one. Videos are king here, I know. Reading is slowly becoming a rare habit nowadays. But again, there are still people who read. I also know this. There are still people who pay for premium knowledge. And, all I need is to find enough of them across the globe and hit that breaking point I’m after. I have a strong feeling that 2025 will treat Pelantar better. I have a strong feeling that 2025 will treat me better too. I have a strong feeling that 2025 will be another year where I edge closer to earning a decent passive income after years of preparation.
Here’s to a better 2025.
