Taiwanese esports team Ghost CommandoS has reportedly been fined after forfeiting from a Valorant tournament due to one player being addicted to Honkai: Star Rail and unable to compete. The possibility was highlighted by a Valorant news reporter, KZ Seulgi, who suggested that the player was so involved with the game that they failed to install the necessary client required to compete.

While the team has yet to confirm the reason behind their forfeiture, they have suffered a 7-match losing streak, leaving them at the bottom of the Challengers League Taiwan/Hong Kong: Split 2 table.

Honkai: Star Rail is a popular game that can be played for free on PC and mobile, with PlayStation versions set to be released later.

This incident highlights the growing issue of gaming addiction and its impact on e-sports teams. It also raises questions about the responsibility of both players and teams in managing their time and ensuring they can compete at the highest level.
