A video of a beehive swaying above a driver’s head as he drove near a mountain village in Anhui province, eastern China on April 1, has captured the attention of millions of people in China.
The video of the beehive was reportedly filmed by a passenger who was sitting in the backseat of the car. The passenger, who was returning to her hometown for tomb-sweeping duties, stated that the bees had been gathering inside the car for approximately a day before the incident occurred.

Netizens have expressed their amazement and admiration for the driver’s composure in the face of the swarming bees. One person commented, “I can’t believe he spent a whole day in peace with the bees! I dare not spend a minute together with them.” Another individual shared, “I’m not scared of the bees themselves. I’m phobic of them clustering so densely.” A third netizen even referred to the driver as a “legend” and humorously suggested that he was keeping the bees as pets.
