Building The YouTube Of Written Content Out Of Asia Is Challenging, But Possible: The 300th Story

Azleen

I tried to write an article today but couldn’t. This is another weekend I can barely open my Mac. Instead of writing a new article, I managed to refresh two old ones in less than 20 minutes. I, then, republished them on 300th.

Talking about this content-sharing platform, things are going pretty well there. The traffic has been growing upward for the past week, per GA. Like, massively. I’m talking about thousands per day. The domain authority is getting way better too. At least, both numbers are better than the previous company I was attached to, which is good news for me. The quality of articles and media releases uploaded is getting better too. And, more and more companies are now self-uploading their media releases here—showcasing that they don’t really need to rely on mainstream media for that. News productions and distributions are already being democratised now.

My next move for 300th now is to quickly acquire our first 100,000 users. This is challenging, but not impossible. It’s just a matter of finding effective ways that can deliver the outcome. One of the many ways I have in mind is to start the monetisation journey for the existing users. The feature is already there. I’m working with my team to find a good time to switch it on. At the same time, we want to finalise its SOPs too—making it cleaner and easy to understand.

Once that is done, we will auto-upgrade selected existing standard users to become premium users so that they can start to enjoy making money out of their articles. These writers are very special to us. They are among the first to have faith in our journey despite being a new content platform.

Things are looking pretty good for 300th. The daily traffic is great. The monthly traffic is even better. The number of individual users is growing. The business users are adding up nicely too. With my team, one day, I want to make 300th a proudly made-in-Asia content-sharing platform people love to upload their stories on.
