Mark Gurman from Bloomberg has reported that Apple could be in for a massive Worldwide Developers Conference next week. It could be huge! In his tweet, it is being said that Apple might be launching several new Macs, in addition to its rumoured mixed reality headset and updated versions of its operating systems at the event. FYI, Mark Gurman is the Chief Correspondent, Apple, Peloton and Tech News at Bloomberg LP
According to Gurman’s report, a 15-inch screen MacBook Air with an M2 chip could be one of the highlights of WWDC. This could indicate that such a laptop is in production and will soon be launched. At last year’s WWDC, Apple unveiled the 13-inch Air with the newly redesigned M2 chip, so it stands to reason that they could use the event again to announce a larger Air model.
According to him, Apple is experimenting with two new processor-based Macs – the M2 Max and M2 Ultra chip – to further expand their lineup. He also mentioned that the computers may be redesigned versions of Mac Studio. Since it is already more than a year old and consists of M1 Max and M1 Ultra configurations, we can assume that Apple could be in the process of launching modified versions.
Gurman said, there are Mac computers with M3 processors that are yet to be revealed. The list includes a new MacBook Air and possibly an iMac refresh. This is especially interesting since the current iMac model was released with the M1 chip back in May 2021. Although Apple had set a target of two years to switch all Macs from Intel to its own silicon components, we are still waiting for a Mac Pro with Apple silicon.
Apple’s WWDC keynote address will take place this Monday, June 5th.
