Japan has recently eased COVID-19 rules on wearing masks. However, a survey found that 1 in 4 people have expressed that they will continue to wear masks.
Among the common reasons was to prevent the spread of infection while others have developed a habit of wearing masks in public.
The government has decided to allow the public to choose whether they want to continue wearing a mask or otherwise. Setting a precedent for the country who have been restricted by public health institutions for the past three years.
